In the 1990’s BLE installed several large security systems in depots, ticket offices, walkways, offices and on platforms. More recently in 2002/3 the power stations had their systems upgraded to fully Integrated Security Systems.
 
The System Design
BLE has installed Duress Alarms in over 100 ticket offices, CCTV/Monitors on platforms for one person operation (OPO) trains, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control in Depots and fully integrated CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms in Power Stations. BLE have also supplied a Loronix Digital Recording System on trial at one of the Underground Stations and has maintained some of the equipment it has installed.
 
 BLE’s Director of Security, Nick Timm, states that "London Underground work is very special and demanding, as most work takes place outside normal working hours, but it is extremely rewarding and gratifying for BLE to install security systems for this world renowned and unique organisation"
